Amitabh Bachchan's heartwarming hand-written letters: A tradition of kindness in Bollywood

Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary actor, might’ve received fame for his stunning portrayal of the ‘Angry Young Man’ but is renowned to be one of the kindest actors of Indian cinema. In the fast-paced world of the internet and emerging technologies, the veteran actor believes in sharing his love through hand-written letters and gifts with his beloved.

Many public figures from the film industry have previously shared their experiences, thanking Bachchan for his endearing gestures. From appreciating the young talents after the incredible performances to wishing people during the festivals, he knows how to make the moments special with his old-school methods.

A couple of moons ago, Ranbir Kapoor and Nimrat Kaur received hand-written letters appreciating the launch of the sneaker brand and performance in the film 'Dasvi,' respectively. Ranbir Kapoor launched his brand, and the official Instagram account shared the letter in the stories. The letter stated, “Dearest Ranbir, My gratitude for your gift, the ARKS sneakers. Love tried them on and wore them to work. They are rather nice and comfortable! All good wishes to you and your endeavour. Lots of love.”

For Kaur’s performance in ‘Dasvi’ alongside his son, Abhishek, the ‘Sholay’ actor wrote, “We have hardly had any interactions or meetings. The last was a compliment I gave at a YRF event for the Cadbury Ad. But your work in Dasvi is exceptional- the nuances, everything! My deep admiration and congratulations.”

Recently, in a Lol Factory podcast by Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa, Manish Paul shared his admiration for Mr. Bachchan. The comedian stated that his Diwali celebration commences by offering a hamper to the 82-year-old actor. The veteran actor writes the letter with extreme details of what items the hamperhade, what he like, and how grateful he is for the gift.
