British pop and rock have an extensive and legendary back catalogue across the decades. And for the 10th year in a row, Radio X listeners have voted in their annual Best of British with B&Q poll to determine the greatest. Incredibly, The Beatles didn't make the Top 10, while 's Bohemian Rhapsody was beaten to the top spot by a band with four songs in the ranking.

The UK No 1, sung by the guitarist, was used by the band's native city in responding to the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing.
