I'm A Celebrity camper Aitch has revealed his reasons for participating in the popular ITV show, saying he's doing it for his mum.
The rapper, 25, has arrived in Australia for the jungle adventure. Before being disconnected from the outside world, Aitch - real name Harrison Armstrong - sent a heartfelt message to his fans, reports the Mirror.
Posting a picture of himself in his jungle gear on Instagram, Aitch penned: "I've made songs with most people I grew up listening to, now I'm going on the show I grew up watching."
"Mam this one's for you," he continued, followed by a salute emoji and a love heart emoji. "Bout to go f*** up the jungle the Manchester way. Cinnabit."
His post was swiftly met with supportive messages from celebrity followers. Among them was Gemma Atkinson, who responded with several clapping hands emojis. Lisa Maffia also expressed her support for the star, confessing: "I really hope he wins."
When he was spotted in Australia, Aitch joked that he had landed ready for an upcoming tour.
Speaking to the Mirror, he said he has been there "plenty of times" adding: "I love it over here. I don't mind snakes... snake on toast? It's all right that, innit? I'm gonna miss my sister - even though she's a little s***."
He added: "What do I want to say to my fans? I just want to shout them all out and say, 'What's going on everyone?' I'll be back home soon. If I'm not, then somebody needs to have a word."
The I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! line-up for this year also includes Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Alex Scott, Kelly Brook, Eddie Kadi and Jack Osbourne.
Aitch is best known for his hits including the 2018 song Straight Rhymez. He reached number two in the charts with his album Close To Home in 2022.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! starts at 9pm on ITV on Sunday November 16
