
Donald Trump has landed in Scotland ahead of his four-day private trip to the country, where he owns two golf courses. The US President landed at Prestwick Airport where large crowds had gathered to see the leader land for his first visit since 2018. After disembarking, he warned Europe to "get your act together" as he claimed immigration is killing the continent.
The US President's visit will require a huge police presence, with thousands of officers dispatched to Scotland ahead of his arrival on Friday. The high security operation has been launched in response to planned demonstrations across the country, including in South Ayrshire and Aberdeenshire, where Trump's golf resorts are based. His last presidential visit was met with thousands of people taking to the streets of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and a paraglider flew over his Turnberry resort criticising the leader.
