If you're anything like me, you might have become hooked on this season of Celebrity Traitors not just because of the drama and deception, but also because of one very stylish host. Claudia Winkleman returned to our screens around a month ago, hosting the first-ever UK celebrity version of the show, and every episode has presented her with another opportunity to showcase a new look.
But regardless of how good her outfits are this season, there's one item of clothing from last season that I've been checking for a restock every month. And now, just in time for winter, I'm chuffed to say it's back.
Last season, fans loved Claudia's lambswool Fair Isle jumper from the Scottish brand Brora, with plenty of fans commenting on Instagram to say it was their "favourite" outfit so far. Despite its high price tag (a hefty £259, later reduced to £155 in the sale), the jumper sold out - and for a while, it seemed like the chance to recreate Claudia's cool winter look was long gone.
That is, until a few weeks ago, when I spotted that Brora had released a new, updated version of the knit. This time, instead of being made from lambswool, it's crafted from alpaca wool. The new black jumper has an incredibly similar monochrome Fair Isle pattern around the neck and lower arms (though the pattern on the arms is a slightly thinner band than the original). While there are a few small design differences, if you love Claudia's look, this is a great way to recreate it.
The jumper comes in four sizes: 4-6, 8-10, 12-14, and 16-18. It retails for £245, which is definitely pricey, but given the quality and heritage of the brand, it's an investment piece that could see you through winters to come. In addition to the black jumper, it is also available in an emerald shade for those who prefer to add a touch of colour.
The jumper is fairly new to the Brora website, so it currently only has one review (spoiler alert: it's a five-star rating).
In the review, the shopper described it as "lovely". They added: "Lightweight, warm and beautiful jumper."
Of course, not everyone has over £200 to spend on a jumper. So, if you want to recreate Claudia's look on a budget, we've found a few options on the high street that emulate the style with their own unique take on the Fair Isle design.
Marks & Spencer has a couple of Fair Isle jumper options for the season. Granted, they're not exactly the same, but they definitely give off the same vibe. My favourite is the cable knit Fair Isle crew neck jumper. It comes in a lovely chocolate brown shade that's perfect for autumn, and the cosy cable knit makes it ideal for the colder months.
The Fair Isle pattern is thicker and slightly different in style from the Brora one, but it still retains that classic look. Plus, it has similar detailing around the arms. Sadly, you won't get alpaca wool with this version (it's 85% acrylic with the rest made of polyester), but it does a great job of recreating the look on a budget.
Then there's this other one from M&S. It's different in terms of where the Fair Isle sits. This design opts for a repeated pattern that runs down the length of the jumper and along the arms. The fabric is also noticeably different.
This time, it's described as Bouclé, which is generally a soft and fluffy material; however, it's worth noting that it's made from synthetic fibres (acrylic and polyester).
