A shocking robbery took place late Monday night in Arichuwa village, located in the Gopikandar police station area of Dumka district, Jharkhand. Five armed and masked criminals looted around ₹7 lakh from a local businessman at gunpoint, sending shockwaves through the community.
What Happened?The victim, Naveen Rai, has been running a grocery shop and small hotel business from his home for the past 15 years. On the night of the incident, two customers were dining at his hotel when five masked men arrived on two bikes.
Three of the men approached Naveen and casually asked for a cigarette. After smoking, they suddenly pulled out pistols and threatened Naveen and his family. When the family tried to resist, the criminals fired shots in the air, forcing everyone inside the house.
How the Looting UnfoldedOnce inside, the armed miscreants locked the entire family in a room and ransacked the house. They looted:

In total, the value of stolen items and cash amounted to approximately ₹7 lakh.
