Samsung has officially released the rollout schedule for its Android 16-based One UI 8 update in India, bringing the latest interface to a wide range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The company confirmed that the update will begin in October 2025 and continue through November, covering popular lineups such as the Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy A, Galaxy M, Galaxy F, and Galaxy Tab series. Notifications about the update will also be sent to users via the Samsung Members app.
According to Samsung, the first phase of the rollout in October will bring One UI 8 to flagship and premium devices, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series. The update will also reach models like the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy A73 5G.
In November, the second phase will cover mid-range and budget models such as the Galaxy A25, Galaxy A53, Galaxy M05, Galaxy M53, and Galaxy F05. Tablet users will also benefit, with devices like the Galaxy Tab A9, Tab A9+, Tab A11, and Tab S10+ scheduled to receive the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. Special category devices such as the Galaxy XCover7 and Galaxy Tab Active5 are also included in the rollout plan.
To install the update, users can go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Samsung advises charging the device and using Wi-Fi during installation to ensure a smooth process. The company also noted that the rollout could be paused temporarily if any technical issues arise.
With this phased rollout, Samsung aims to deliver the latest Android 16 experience to millions of Galaxy users, offering improved performance, new features, and a refreshed interface across its extensive device lineup.
