The Tata Nexon made a significant breakthrough in September 2025, emerging as the best-selling car in India. With a record monthly sale of 22,573 units, the Nexon outperformed top competitors like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, and Hyundai. This milestone marked the highest monthly sales ever recorded by any car from Tata Motors.
The surge in Nexon's popularity is attributed to various factors such as the introduction of GST 2.0, which lowered vehicle prices by up to ₹1.55 lakh, and numerous attractive customer offers. The Nexon’s starting price now stands at ₹7.32 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an affordable option in the popular compact SUV segment.
The bike's versatility is demonstrated by its availability in petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric variants, catering to a broad range of customer preferences. It offers powerful engines including a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, 1.5-litre diesel engine, and two EV battery options with up to 489 km of range. Key features include LED projector headlamps, ventilated seats, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six airbags, ESP, a 360-degree camera, and other advanced safety technologies.
In September, Tata Motors also recorded sales of 60,907 units, bolstered by strong demand for Nexon and its other cars, including electric vehicles, which saw 24,855 units sold—a 96% increase year over year. The company's exports also surged by 411%.
With its competitive pricing, diverse powertrain options, and commitment to safety, the Tata Nexon continues to be a cornerstone model, driving Tata Motors’ robust growth and solidifying its standing in the Indian automotive market.
