Xabi Alonso has outlined his plans for England star Jude Bellingham after as manager. The ex-Liverpool midfielder has after a successful two-year stint with Bayer Leverkusen.

"Bellingham is in a good position to work with," said Alonso at his unveiling. "I see him as a midfielder. We'll strive to make him as effective as possible."

Alonso was also questioned about how he would get the best from Mbappe and Vinicius Jr in his system. The pair are among Real's most potent threats but have shown some tendency to operate in similar areas.

"Not just Kylian or Vinicius, but many others as well. They are game-changing players who make a difference, and we have to get the best out of them. If they are at their maximum level, the team will be much more successful.
