journey on has been nothing short of extraordinary. The 35-year-old singer from Blackpool captivated the nation when he seized an unexpected opportunity during the show's auditions. Max, who lives in Poulton-le-Fylde, near Blackpool, with husband Arturo, says it was his time to shine.
After 19 years of unsuccessful attempts to audition, pleading for a chance to perform. Can you give me one opportunity?" - resonated with the judges and audience alike.
Granted the opportunity, earning a standing ovation. In an unprecedented move, judge , who had already used her Golden Buzzer for the season, pressed it again for Max, propelling him directly into the semi-finals.

Reflecting on his sudden rise to fame, Max shared, "It's been a whirlwind! One minute I was just a lad in the audience with a dream, and now I can't pop out for milk without someone shouting, 'Go on, Max!' It's surreal - but amazing!"
Max's inspiring story has garnered attention from celebrities as well. He revealed that actor Danny Miller invited him to perform at his charity ball for Once Upon a Smile, a cause supporting bereaved children and families. "That meant the . He's a top bloke with a big heart," Max said.
Throughout his BGT journey, Max has found a steadfast supporter in Amanda Holden. "Amanda's been incredible. She checks in, she encourages me - she believes in me. And that means more than I can put into words," he expressed. Inspired by Amanda's previous Golden Buzzer act, Sydnie , who won the competition last year, Max aspires to follow in her footsteps. "Sydnie is a powerhouse and proof that when talent meets opportunity, magic happens. She's a reminder that dreams can come true," he said.
Insisting it had not been a stunt, said: “I know that’s what people will say, but I promise it wasn’t. It was like a moment from a movie. This guy was in the audience and kept putting his hand up, asking Simon to let him sing. Eventually Simon agreed, so he got up – and was a knockout. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and had to press the golden buzzer.
“We knew nothing about him, he just got in the audience that day and talked his way on stage. I have so much respect for him taking his shot when he got it. He’s got balls, that’s for sure. In auditions, we don’t know what to expect from one moment to the next.”
Looking ahead, Max teased his upcoming semi-final performance: "Let's just say, it's not what you're expecting. I've got something up my sleeve, and I'm bringing a big twist. Buckle up."
As he continues to captivate audiences, he remains grounded and grateful for the support he's received.
Britain's Got Talent continues with its live semi-finals, airing Saturday nights on ITV1 and ITVX.
