Man Utd ready to take £60m hit on Marcus Rashford in latest transfer blunder

Manchester United could take a £60million loss on in the space of a year with the forward believing they may let him leave for £40m. The academy graduate is on loan at , but faces an uncertain future once the season ends.

The 27-year-old in a loan deal that included a £40m option-to-buy clause. That however does not prevent any other club signing the forward, whose time in the Midlands will come to an end on 30 June.

Rashford has rediscovered his form whilst playing under and that may have put him back in the shop window. He struggled to strike up a relationship with Ruben Amorim and the Manchester outfit may decide to cut their losses.

Rashford could be the latest star to leave and ultimately cost United big sums. He is unlikely to have much of a future at his boyhood club whilst Amorim is in charge with the Portuguese boss casting him out soon after arriving in Manchester.

"I couldn't get Marcus to see the way you're supposed to play football and to train the way I see it," said the United boss after his exit. "Sometimes you have one player that is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different. I wish the best to Rashford and to [Villa manager] Unai Emery, and they can connect because he's a very good player."
