Viewers of are convinced they have worked out why the soap this summer.
The pair only joined the soap earlier this year as the new neighbours from hell. They've caused plenty of chaos in their time in Weatherfield, and Mick in particular has made some enemies with hints of him being dangerous.
But amid reports of a flashback episode soon to air covering the pasts of a number of characters, we also know thatas part of a . Fans are now guessing what leads to the departure, believing the flashback is a major clue.
With Kit Green's link to the family still not explained onscreen, it's said he will be in the flashback as his past with Mick and Lou is explored - ahead of a secret child plot. With that fans think this big episode and the stuff between the three characters is what will lead to Mick and Lou making their dramatic exit from the ITV soap.
Fans think their secret son is Brody, Dylan Wilson's STC enemy, and that he will end up being Kit's son. They think Mick finds out this information, and it leads to "chaos" resulting in Mick and Lou leaving for good.

One viewer said: "Yes, I figured Lou cheated on Mick with Kit and got pregnant with Brody. Maybe Mick believes he’s the father and chaos will erupt when he finds out he’s not."
Another fan said: "[I think] Kit and Mick team up to do a robbery and get caught by the police. Kit manages to leg it as Mick gets greedy and wants to take one final thing from the house meaning that Kit gets away in time and Mick gets caught and the cops are very physical arresting him.
"Later on once he's released Mick finds out that Kit and Lou [had a one night stand] as they were high school sweethearts and a feud/rivalry begins between Kit and Mick. Then Mick finds out and there's a bit of a feud until both Mick and Lou get ostracised from the cobbles by everyone eventually and have to leave."
News of the exits was revealed recently, with a Corrie insider telling The it had been planned from the get-go. They explained: "This is not a surprise exit or early departure. Mick and Lou were brought into the show to cause chaos on the cobbles in the build up to a major storyline in the summer and they are already making their presence felt.
"Joe and Farrell were contracted for a specific length of time, some characters come in for a long time and some like Mick and Lou are brought to pass through and leave a trail of destruction behind them. Both actors are still filming with the show and will be on screen until the summer."
