Sambhal: In a tragic incident, eight members of a family died after a Bolero SUV carrying a wedding party crashed into a wall of a college in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district on Friday. The groom and two minors were among the people who lost their lives in the accident. Two others were also injured.
Five people died on the spot, while three others lost their lives during treatment, reported NDTV. At the time of the incident, there were 10 occupants in the car. The wedding party was en route from Har Govindpur village to Sirtoul in Budaun. The incident took place in Sambha's Junawai area.

"The police immediately reached the spot, and with the help of a JCB machine, the car was cut open to rescue the injured. Five injured persons were referred to Aligarh for treatment." SP Krishan Bishnoi aid a s quoted by IANS.

Among the deceased were Suraj (24), the groom; his sister-in-law Asha (26); her daughter Aishwarya (2) and Vishnu (6). As per eyewitnesses, the SUV was travelling at a high speed before it lost control and struck the wall.
The condition of the two injured people is reported to be critical. As per the report, they have been referred to a higher medical centre in Aligarh.
"A SUV carrying a wedding party, including the groom, lost control and collided with the wall of Janata Inter College in Jewanai. Upon receiving information, immediate rescue operations were launched," Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Anukriti Sharma told PTI.
An investigation has been launched into the matter.
