A man form Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi has posted a video on social media claiming his life is in danger from his own wife. In the video, the young man alleges his wife is having an extramarital affair and has repeatedly threatened him with a fate similar to the notorious Meerut "Meerut murder case." According to him, she frequently threatens to dispose of him and their son in a blue drum.
The man, identified as Pawan, works as a contractual employee with the National Health Mission and is posted at the Mahoba District Hospital, as per reports. His wife works as a clerk at GGIC Mauranipur. The couple has been living separately for some time due to ongoing disputes and has a six-year-old son.

In the video, Pawan claims his wife is having an illicit relationship with another man. He states that whenever he objected to this, she threatened to frame him. "My wife, along with her lover, could kill me and my child and bury us in a drum. I request the administration to take action against my wife and her lover," he said in the video.
Pawan narrates that when he tried to video call his son on Tuesday night, his wife answered and showed their child's face. At that moment, he sensed someone else was present with his wife. He sent police to the house, where they reportedly found a BJP councilor inside. When neighborhood residents began recording videos, the councilor allegedly tried to intimidate both the public and police. This incident is also going viral on social media.
According to Pawan, the man is a councilor of the Mauranipur Municipality. Police took him to the station but later released him at the wife's request.
"My wife can live with whoever she wants to, I don't care, but nothing should happen to my child," Pawan stated. "Now she's threatening me saying she's done what she wanted to do. I don't want to live with her because I don't trust her. Even if I try to live with her, my body might end up in a drum tomorrow."
CO Ramvir Singh commented on the case, saying, "A video has come to light through social media. We learned it was from Mauranipur, showing a young man leaving a woman's house. Police caught him and brought him to the station. The woman had given in writing that she had stomach pain and had called him for medicine. So far, no formal complaint has been received from either party. After investigating the viral video, legal action will be taken."
