Indore: Avail Nutritious And Adequate Food To Students Says District Panchayat CEO

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Siddharth Jain, CEO of District Panchayat has instructed officials to provide quality, nutritious and adequate food to students. He gave the instruction during inspection of a hostel of Eklavya Residential School Morod on Wednesday.

During inspection, Jain observed all buildings and rooms of the hostel. He discussed with students and teachers living in the hostel regarding various arrangements of the hostel.

During discussion with hostel students, CEO Jain gave necessary instructions to the in-charge and staff on shortcomings informed by them. Instructions were given to keep hostel premises clean, make arrangements for pure drinking water and provide clean bed sheets, pillows etc. He directed that, as the study room made for students is small according to their number, it should be increased and sufficient tables and chairs should be provided.

It was instructed to compulsorily order Hindi and English newspapers in the hostel and make them available to students. Also, the hostel in-charge present was instructed to ensure that the students get career, health, mental health and personality development counselling. He instructed to order sufficient sports equipment and make proper arrangements for both indoor and outdoor games.

The students said that the teachers are performing satisfactorily. Jain said that the teaching work should be improved. Instructions were given to maintain adequate cleanliness in the dining hall mess and to provide quality, nutritious and sufficient food according to the menu.

While instructing employees, he said that the deficiencies of the hostel should be mitigated within a fortnight. The hostel will be inspected again after 15 days. Concerned officers and employees were present during the visit of CEO Jain.
