Lunar eclipse on the first day of Pitru Paksha
Pitru Paksha is starting from 9 September and will end on 21 September. Every year, Pitru Paksha starts from the full moon date of Bhadrapada month and continues till the Amavasya date of Ashwin month. In Hinduism, the biggest debt on a human being is Pitru debt, and to get rid of this debt, Shraddha Karma or Pinddaan is performed in Pitru Paksha. The ancestors are pleased with the Shraddha performed with devotion and bless the family with wealth, happiness, salvation, long life, and also get freedom from Pitru Dosha. It is told in the scriptures and Puranas that under no circumstances should the Shraddha Karma of ancestors be ignored. If you do not perform Shraddha Karma, then gradually problems start increasing in life, and you have to face many kinds of troubles. Purnima Shraddha will be on 7 September, and on the same day, the last lunar eclipse of the year is also going to take place.
Eclipse will be visible in India.
The lunar eclipse on 7 September will start at 9:57 pm and the eclipse will end at 1:26 am. Therefore, the total duration of this eclipse will be 3 hours and 29 minutes. Since the lunar eclipse will be visible in India, the Sutak period of this eclipse will be valid. The Sutak period of the lunar eclipse starts 9 hours before; in this way, the Sutak period will start from around 12:57 pm. Apart from India, it can be seen in many countries of Europe, including England, France, Germany, and Italy. Also, it will be visible in most of the countries of Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and some parts of America.
Remedies to get rid of Pitra Dosh
1- Collect an equal amount of coins from all the members of the family and donate them to the temple. You do this for five consecutive Thursdays. Do this work in this way, like – if you have 5 rupees in your pocket, then take 5 5 coins from all the other members of the house and donate it to the temple.
2- Light camphor in the house in the morning and evening, and do Aarti and show it in the whole house. By doing this, the effect of Devdosh and Pitradosh is reduced. But keep in mind that sometimes burn camphor by dipping it in ghee, and sometimes burn it with jaggery.
3- Feed roti to the dog, crow, bird, and cow every morning and evening. If you find any of the four on time, feed roti to it.
4- Offer water to the Peepal or Banyan tree every day and apply saffron tilak. Also apply saffron tilak every day and keep Ekadashi fast and recite Shrimad Bhagwat Gita. By doing this, the inauspicious effect of Pitradosha is reduced. Also, never live in a house facing south, even by mistake.

Ancestors are very happy.
Lunar eclipse and Pitru Paksha are both related to the peace of ancestors and liberation from the fruits of karma. It is said in the scriptures that whenever there is an eclipse and it is visible in our area, then the fruits of donations, chanting, resolution, and tarpan done at that time increase manifold. On the day of a lunar eclipse, taking bath, offering water, chanting mantras, and doing charity pleases the ancestors, the sins of ancestors are pacified and happiness and prosperity comes to the family.
