This holy place located on the Nainital-Haldwani highway at a distance of about 2 km from Nainital has been the sadhana Bhoomi of Neem Karauli Baba. Baba came to this place in 1950 and built a small hut there with his followers. Later he established a small Hanuman ji's idol here. In 1953, the idol of Bade Hanuman ji was installed. From here the spiritual journey of Hanumangarhi started. Baba also got the Ram temple constructed here in 1955 and the Shiva temple between 1956-57.

Baba first came to Hanumangarhi

The temple manager MP Singh says that Hanumangarhi was the first place where Neem Karoli Baba showed his miracles. Once he stopped a train and proved his miraculous powers and then reached here. This temple has now become a miraculous and divine place for the devotees. The prophecy of another great saint Haidakhan Baba is also associated with this place.

It is said that he had already said that some Anjani ka Lal (son of Anjani) would awaken this land. At that time this place was a cemetery where children were buried. When Baba organized a feast here, many children who came to take prasad mysteriously disappeared. It is said that they were the same souls whom Baba liberated.

How to reach here

If you want to visit this holy place on Hanuman Jayanti, then you can easily reach from Nainital to Haldwani by any taxi, cab or public transport. Traveling by private vehicle can also be very convenient for you. Hanumangarhi is not just a temple, but a living story of faith, miracles and devotion.
