JSW MG Motor India on Monday reduced prices across its internal combustion engine (ICE) SUV range, passing on the full benefit of the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate cut to customers. The revised ex-showroom prices apply to vehicles, spare parts, and accessories, effective immediately.
The new pricing delivers savings between Rs 54,000 and Rs 3,04,000, making models such as the Astor, Hector, and Gloster more competitive in their respective segments. The Astor now starts at Rs 9.65 lakh, lower than its original 2021 launch price. The Hector has been repositioned at Rs 14 lakh, while the Gloster’s entry price has dropped to Rs 39.80 lakh.
“The Government’s initiative to rationalise GST rates is a welcome step that directly supports car buyers by enhancing their purchasing power and fostering positive consumer sentiment. By passing on the full benefit of this reform to our customers, JSW MG Motor aims to make its SUV portfolio – comprising of Astor, Hector, and Gloster – even more accessible and attractive,” said Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India.
He added, “As demand strengthens ahead of the festive season, this move reinforces our commitment to delivering value, promoting easier ownership, and encouraging more customers to experience the MG brand.”
Alongside the reduced sticker prices, MG Gloster buyers will get additional benefits of up to Rs 3.5 lakh. Customers can also access financing options such as 100% on-road funding and a three-month EMI holiday.
