Air services at Los Angeles airport briefly grounded due to equipment outage

Flight operations at Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX) were temporarily halted on Sunday, October 12, after an equipment malfunction led the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue a ground stop. The disruption affected both arrivals and departures, impacting passengers across one of the world’s busiest airports, according to FAA, ad reported by Reuters.

According to the FAA, the brief suspension was caused by an outage that disrupted air traffic control systems. The issue prompted the airport to stop all flight movements until normal communication and coordination were restored.

Airport officials said that technical teams quickly resolved the problem, allowing flight operations to resume shortly after. Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which operates LAX, confirmed that services returned to normal once the systems were stabilized, aviationa2z reported.
