UPSC Mains Time Table 2025: The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has released the time table of the Civil Services Main Exam 2025. UPSC CSE Mains 2025 Schedule: Exam will be held from 22 to 31 August
The Civil Services Mains Exam will be held on 22, 23, 24, 30, and 31 August 2025. UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam 2025 will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the second shift will run from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

How many candidates appeared for the exam this time?
This year, UPSC has released vacancies for a total of 979 posts. More than 10 lakh candidates appeared in the prelims exam. The number of shortlisted candidates for Mains is about 12-14 times more than the vacancies. This time, a total of 14161 candidates have cleared the prelims exam.

A total of 979 posts, including IAS, IPS, and IFS, will be recruited through the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025. This exam is for one of the most prestigious government jobs in the country, and lakhs of candidates appear in it every year.

UPSC Mains 2025: Exam Pattern
The pattern of the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2025 is divided into two parts: a written test and a personality test (interview). There will be a total of 9 papers in the written exam, out of which some papers will be of a qualifying nature while the rest will be considered for merit determination. The exam will evaluate answer writing ability, analytical thinking and in-depth understanding of the subject. There will also be negative marking of one-third marks for each wrong answer, which makes it important to answer carefully. Only those candidates who have successfully cleared UPSC Prelims 2025 will be able to appear in this exam.
